  1. YOU ARE A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES
  2. YOU ARE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD ON OR BEFORE THE DATE OF THE GENERAL ELECTION; IF YOU WILL BE 18 ON OR BEFORE THE DATE OF THE GENERAL ELECTION, YOU MAY VOTE IN THE PRIMARY ELECTION FOR CANDIDATES ONLY, BUT NOT ON ISSUES
  3. YOU WILL BE A RESIDENT OF OHIO FOR AT LEAST 30 DAYS BEFORE THE ELECTION
  4. YOU REGISTER TO VOTE AT LEAST 30 DAYS BEFORE THE ELECTION

HOUSE BILL 3 WAS SIGNED BY THE GOVERNOR ON JANUARY 31, 2006

VOTERS MUST BRING IDENTIFICATION TO THE POLLS IN ORDER TO VERIFY IDENTITY. IDENTIFICATION MAY INCLUDE A CURRENT AND VALID PHOTO IDENTIFICATION, A MILITARY IDENTIFICATION, OR A COPY OF A CURRENT UTILITY BILL, BANK STATEMENT, GOVERNMENT CHECK, PAYCHECK, OR OTHER GOVERNMENT DOCUMENT, OTHER THAN THIS REMINDER OR A VOTER REGISTRATION NOTIFICATION THAT SHOWS THE VOTER’S NAME AND CURRENT ADDRESS. VOTERS WHO DO NOT PROVIDE ONE OF THESE DOCUMENTS WILL STILL BE ABLE TO VOTE BY PROVIDING THE LAST FOUR DIGITS OF THE VOTER’S SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AND BY CASTING A PROVISIONAL BALLOT. VOTERS WHO DO NOT HAVE ANY OF THE ABOVE FORMS OF IDENTIFICATION, INCLUDING A SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, WILL STILL BE ABLE TO VOTE BY SIGNING AN AFFIRMATION SWEARING TO THE VOTER’S IDENTITY UNDER PENALTY OF ELECTION FALSIFICATION AND BY CASTING A PROVISIONAL BALLOT.

A Majority Affirmative Vote Is Necessary For Passage

An additional tax for the benefit of the Findlay City School District for the purpose of current operating expenses,
at a rate not exceeding 5.9 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.59 for each one hundred
dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2020, first due in calendar year 2021.

Effective Monday, March 23, 2020 the Hancock County Board of Elections Office located at 201 E. Lincoln St., Rear will be closed to the public. The office will still be working and available by phone (419) 422-3245 or by email ([email protected]). For all election related documents, a drop box is available 24/7 outside of the office just past the back door. To maintain the social distancing recommendations by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the office will not accept any documents over the counter.
